Due to the nature of our earrings being handmade, no two pairs will ever be the same. (That is the beauty of handmade :) However, we do keep our color recipes to make products for re-stocking, pre-orders and back orders but there is always a possibility of slight color change. Some products we just cannot replicate 100% for example : Marble earrings as we just cannot control the marble effect and placement of colours. HOW TO CARE FOR YOUR EARRINGS? Yes! Polymer clay is flexible, however, we strongly recommend that you do NOT bend your clay earrings. Treat them as you would any other jewelry item. If not taken care of properly they can wear and tear over time. Make sure to store your earrings in a cool dry place when you are not wearing them. Keep jewelry away from perfume, chemicals, harsh jewelry cleaners, and avoid wearing them in the shower, pools or beaches/lakes. Try to store them separate from other heavy and harsh jewelry to avoid scratches and tarnishes. Try to refrain from sleeping in your earrings, as this could increase the risk of the post breaking off from the clay piece. If your earrings are dirty/stained by makeup, you can use a soft cloth with a little soap and water, or an unscented baby wipe. A Q-tip dipped in rubbing alcohol can help clean clay pieces for tough stains. Some pieces may have brass accessories, and these can naturally tarnish over time – this is from oxidization. You can refresh your brass pieces with a mixture of lemon juice and baking soda, or “Brasso”. Golden stainless-steel findings can be lightly cleaned with a Q-tip and rubbing alcohol. HOW DO WE SECURE OUR POSTS ON A STUD TOP? All of our earrings that have a stud top are properly secured with Loctite Super Glue Power Gel. after this has been left to set and dry for 24hrs for maximum adhesion we use a layer of UV Resin over the top for extra security and a clean shiny finish. WHAT IS POLYMER CLAY? Polymer clay is a versatile, synthetic modeling material composed of polyvinyl chloride (PVC), plasticizers, and pigments (for color). Once baked and cured, polymer clay becomes a durable and lightweight material suitable for jewelry and crafts. ARE POLYMER CLAY EARRINGS HEAVY? No! Polymer clay earrings are lightweight with our earrings weighing at an average weight of 8g, making them comfortable for extended wear, you may even forget you are wearing them!!! Please note, that earrings with metal accents will may be slightly heavier. ARE POLYMER CLAY EARRINGS FLEXIBLE? Yes and no. Baked and finished polymer clay earrings will have a slight bend to them, however we advise you do not bend your polymer clay earrings to avoid any damage or breakage. MY POLYMER CLAY EARRINGS BROKE – WHAT DO I DO? Please contact us as we would be happy to replace them for you. ARE POLYMER CLAY EARRINGS TOXIC? Although polymer clay is synthetically made of PVC base, it is not toxic to your hands or earlobes. I HAVE SENSITIVE EARS, CAN I WEAR THESE? Yes! All earrings have hypoallergenic and nickel-free posts. Most earring posts have stainless steel, raw brass, or gold plating. These materials are cost-effective and less likely to cause irritation or allergic reactions (compared to nickel). Please note, if you have really sensitive ears we can use accessories more suited to you if you are happy to provide further details. WILL POLYMER CLAY EARRINGS SHRINK, EXPAND OR FADE OVER TIME? Nope. Your polymer clay earrings will not shrink or expand. All clay jewelry is safely baked and cured for the best quality. However, extreme exposure to sunlight or heat may cause fading damage. Please store your polymer clay jewelry in a cool, dry place and avoid prolonged exposure to extreme weather conditions.
