Description
This is Nugget the Euro kangaroo joey. He was brought into our care after his mother was hit by a car in Lyndoch. He was thrown out of the pouch when his mum was hit and was found in the middle of the road by a family while on their way to school. He was completely hairless and bruised when he came into our care, he was only 750grams. We weren’t sure if he would survive, but he is now 11 months old and is our “lucky nugget”. Rose mentioned “he’s my little piece of gold” they’re very rare to find baby euros in the Barossa. His name does have two meanings, one because he was so lucky and two, he leaves little nuggets everywhere! Nugget is one of the fifteen Barossa Wildlife Rescue animals available in limited prints. He is painted on 300gsm watercolour paper using professional Winsor and Newton and Daniel Smith watercolours.
