Cecil the Emu spends his days with his kangaroo friends foraging for food. A giant flightless bird, emus are known for their slightly excessive personalities and crazy run.
Pecking away at berries and grasses Cecil is more than happy spending his days, roaming his paddock and bathing in puddles and creeks.
In the wild emu father’s spend weeks on end sitting on eggs and rearing their chicks.
One of Cecil’s keepers, Amelia took this reference photo when he lived at the Adelaide Zoo. Cecil now lives at Kangaroo Rescue South Australia with his friend Leroy the KI Kangaroo.
