Kookie had been thrown from the nest and brought into the rescue. One of the volunteers, Kelsey and Kookie had bonded straight away. Kelsey hand raised Kookie and taught him how to laugh. In the beginning he sounded like a dying motor, like he was trying to start up but never got there. Kelsey taught him how to laugh and so now he laughs on que.

I’m Kat, a watercolour artist. I spend my days tucked away in the Barossa drawing, painting and creating.
I create bespoke artwork, with quality coloured watercolours and paper that will last the test of time, using your reference photos of fur babies, animals, people and landscapes – making wonderful memorabilia for yourself or a loved one.
My animals are from the Barossa Wildlife Rescue, I’m a volunteer at the rescue and I also donate a portion of my proceeds to the rescue.
I carry a range of greeting cards, print options, tea towels, tote bags, pins, magnets and more!
