Salma Merhebi is a PhD student in Chemical Engineering at the University of New South Wales. Her chemistry background developed her design and process skills. Also, she learned the fundamentals of soap-making mechanisms and different characteristics of the soaps, including the super fat and the safe Ph of the end product.
As a researcher working in the lab for long hours, she’s aware of each chemical safety data sheet, hazards, and corresponding health and safety handling procedure. She decided to move to organic and natural products in her daily life and avoid chemicals as much as possible in her personal care and hygiene routine. She started purchasing organic chemical-free shampoo, deodorant, skin care products, and soap bars. Then, she started making her own soaps, lip balms, and other bath products by trying recipes mainly from natural ingredients without adding chemical colorants or fragrances.
And here is where the OrgHandy idea came in! OrgHandy is the combination of organic and handmade products that are soft on the skin, just like the textile woven from cotton “Organdy”. Her soaps were just unique, and she got a lot of positive feedback from family and friends!
She has been developing and perfecting her organic recipes to have products smelling heavenly and making you feel fresh!
“Nature does not just provide you with food and ingredients, if you study and follow nature, it will inspire you!”
